Spaces by Sim is a boutique interior decorating firm that curates personalized and tailor-made spaces. Specializing in residential home décor and commercial product shoot staging, designs are rooted in approachable and accessible styles that reflect client’s personalities and tastes. Spaces by Sim is experienced in working with clients to select both interior and exterior finishes, lighting and hardware for custom new built homes and renovations. Meet Seemeen

Seemeen Jaffer is the interior decorator behind Spaces by Sim and has been decorating spaces for over five years. She takes great pride in getting to know you and translating that into a space reflective of you.

A creative thinker and lover of all things unique, Seemeen brings a fresh and accessible approach as she designs curated spaces. She is known for her flexible and fluid nature and gets excited to incorporate patterns, textures, and colours in stylized, functional, and purposeful ways.

Seemeen obtained her Interior Decorating Certificate from Mount Royal University and has experience in residential and commercial projects, including new home finish selections and product set design. Seemeen is also a Registered Social Worker and has her Masters in Social Work from the University of Calgary. She is constantly inspired by the people she meets and loves seeing the beauty in the everyday.

From the very beginning, Seemeen was a wonderful partner in the process. She took the time to meet with us, visit our space, and hear what we were hoping to accomplish through our work together. In addition to her immense skill with guiding our redecoration, Seemeen went above and beyond when locating and coordinating vendors and contractors, ensuring that almost all logistical details were taken care of for us. She was on-site when contractors were at our place, to oversee installation. She took care of any issues that arose with pieces that needed to be returned or replaced. She managed the budget for each stage of the project, keeping us updated along the way. Seemeen was able to keep our project timeline on track and ensure that each stage of the process was completed in a timely manner.

We now have a beautiful main floor with complete spaces that we truly love, and with details that make all the difference. We absolutely could not have done it without Seemeen’s vision and execution. Working with Seemeen was one of the best decisions we could have made for our home, because it was clear from the very beginning that she wanted us to love the space we live in and she was willing to go above and beyond to make our vision a reality for us. “We hired Seemeen to give our master bedroom a makeover and she did an amazing job. She was very easy to work with and very helpful. She got to know our style and then we started picking pieces. She would send many ideas for each piece and we would go back and forth until we found something we all liked.
